Any time is a good time for an adventure to search out waves, but your good time can turn pretty sour if you don’t have the right gear to keep your surfboards and yourself safe. Don’t worry though, Komunity Project has you covered, with board bags to look after your boards and leashes to stop you being stuck out in the ocean in double overhead waves without a float.

Komunity Project has created a whole range of board bags to suit all type of different travel needs. Whether you just need a light day trip board bag to keep your stick safe while strapped to the roof or bundled in the back of your van, or a thick coffin board bag that has room for 6 surfboards and space for all those extras like leashes, fins, and boardshorts, Komunity Project have you covered. Kelly Slater’s Signature Surfboard Bag is a triple/quad that even has a secret compartment for one extra board if you just can’t leave that new stick at home!

All the Komunity Project board bags feature Thermo-flow technology, a series of air vents throughout the bag that stop the inside of the board bag heating up too much, which can damage your surfboards and leave melted wax all over the inside. The exterior material of the board bags are heat reflective too, and the high-density foam in the lining reduces impact damage. To top it off, the super tough plastic YKK zippers last a lifetime thanks to no rust or corrosion.

Komunity Project Leashes

Once called the kook cord, a decent leash is worth its weight in gold for any surfer pushing the limits of their surfing. Even when you’ve just started surfing a leash stops you from losing your board after every wipeout, but when you take on serious waves losing your board can have serious consequences. You need something solid and strong, a leash that won’t break even after being stretched out a couple of extra foot after a big hold down. That’s exactly what you’ve got with the range of leashes from Komunity Project.

With a range of leashes covering competition cords to standard leg ropes, you can nail down exactly what you need for the conditions you’re surfing. The Komunity Project Comp Cord is thinner and lighter, leaving less to trail behind you. This is great for when you’re trying to clock up those points in a heat. The Komunity Project Standard Cord is thicker and heavier, giving it extra strength for when you’re taking on bigger waves. All the leashes feature comfy neoprene cuffs and ultra strong velcro to keep it fastened around your ankle. The cord is made out of durable polyurethane, complete with moulded fittings either end. The icing on the cake is double swivels to stop any tangles tying you up.
