Indo Board Review

October 16, 2013 By Admin

indo-board-1The Indo Board is a revolutionary workout device which targets the same muscle groups used when surfing. Whether you’re an experienced seasoned surfer or someone who’s looking to learn this rewarding hobby, the Indo Board is guaranteed to improve your performance and balance on the water. In this post, we’re going to take a closer look at this device and reveal why it’s become such a popular training product for amateur and professional surfers.

You might be surprised to learn that the first Indo Board prototype was developed over 30 years ago. During its first few years of inception, it remained relatively unknown in the surfing world. In the decades to follow, though, the Indo Board became more and more popular. Today, it’s the single most popular workout tool for surfers.

How They Work

As you can see in the image to the left, the Indo Board is smaller and wider than a traditional surfboard. The board itself is used in conjunction with a thick rolling pin (also shown in the picture) to achieve a ‘see-saw’ effect. Users place the board directly over the rolling pin while attempting to maintain their balance. Of course, this is just one of the many ways to use the Indo Board…

Benefits of Using The Indo Board

  • Improves balance in a way that’s nearly identical to surfing
  • Builds stronger core muscles
  • Builds stronger leg muscles
  • Offers a fun alternative to traditional ‘boring’ exercises
  • Small, compact and portable (bring it anywhere you go)
  • Easy to use
  • Strong and durable
  • Lightweight

More Than Just a ‘Surfing’ Tool…

Of course, you don’t have to be a surfer to take advantage of the Indo Board’s versatility. Many physical therapists recommend their patients use the Indo Board to regain muscle strength and balance. The board’s design is based on the simple notion of balance through the ‘see-saw’ effect, making it an excellent physical therapy tool. Rather than trying to light weights or perform other HIIT exercises, you can hop on the board for a 10-15 minutes to rebuild muscle strength and definition.

Athletes also use it for improving core muscle strength since it’s a fun way to mix up your traditional workout routine. Let’s face it, performing the same workout routine day after day gets old fast. And when you aren’t fully engaged in your workout routine, you probably won’t give it a full 100%. Incorporating the Indo Board into your workout routines for just a couple days out of the week will prevent this from happening while encouraging better balance.
