Downhill Daredevils Keeping it Real – Complete Setups from Kebbek

November 30, 2015 By J. Taylor

Kebbek

Kebbek have been making skateboards for way over twenty years already, a testament to their awesome designs and the dedicated downhill riders out there who won’t settle for anything less. When the skateboard world was getting all caught up in freeriding and downhill skateboarding got pushed to the side, Kebbek didn’t sell out and fit in with the crowd. No, they stuck to their guns and kept designing and producing world class downhill longboards that were sought the world over. This still hasn’t changed, and Kebbek skateboards are in high demand, from their hometown of Montreal all the way over to Japan. Make no mistake, Kebbek are all about downhill longboarding, and their boards are made from the finest Canadian Maple. These boards are built to last and go fast, but if you just want to cruise you’ll still look great doing it on a Kebbek. Here are three of the best Kebbek longboards we have in the DriftingThru store…

Kebbek Switchback

The Kebbek Switchback is a sliding and carving dream, a symmetrical board that can be ridden switch and just begs to be thrashed at high speed. The deck is 33.5” long by 9.5” wide, giving the rider plenty of stability when skating hard and fast. It can handle tight turns and also lends itself incredibly well to freeriding. On the underside of the deck there are wheel wells and a sick scorpion graphic, and fiberglass laminate protects the entire deck. The wheelbase can be adjusted between 24”, 24.75” and 25.5”. Check out the Kebbek Switchback in the DriftingThru store, and see how it’s made in this next video…

Kebbek Topmount 33

A great all-round skateboard with a classic design, the Kebbek Topmount 33 is capable of just about anything. It is one of the smallest skateboards available from Kebbek, and where it really excels is in carving. Take this setup to a gradual sloping hill and really push out those turns. It comes in at 33” long by 10” wide, and thanks to its size it makes a great travel board and everyday cruiser. The wheelbase can be adjusted between 20” and 21”, and it comes ready with deck grip, trucks, wheels and bearings. Take a closer look at the Kebbek Topmount 33 in the DriftingThru store, and listen to what the guys at Kebbek have to say about this skateboard…

Kebbek Hairpin

If you’re looking for a drop-through longboard from Kebbek, one of the best has to be the Kebbek Hairpin. This longboard offers great controllability at high speeds, and features a Dub-bowl concave that helps to keep you locked into the board. Its stability and improved steering makes it great for skaters new to downhill longboarding. It is also a fantastic setup for sliding, and you can really push your technical skills with the Hairpin. This board measures 39” long by 9.25” wide, and has a wheelbase of 28.75”. Go pick up your Kebbek Hairpin from the DriftingThru store today! Now watch the Kebbek team riders tearing it up on these sick skateboards…
