Travel Right – Keep Your Sticks Safe with OAM Boardbags

Whether you’re traveling around the world to surf or just trekking to your local secret spot, OAM Boardbags are built to look after your surfboards while they’re out of the water. The truth is you’re more likely to damage your board on land than you are in the sea. Cracked rails, tail dings, crumpled noses, the list goes on, and it’s probably a wall or door or a hard concrete floor that’s the culprit. Save yourself the pain and your surfboards a repair by wrapping them up, you know it makes sense!

The OAM Boardbags Range

The OAM Boardbags range covers all shapes and sizes, from a pint-sized fish to a ten foot SUP, so all the bases are covered. If you’re looking for a regular day bag for your standard shortboard then look no further than the OAM Day Mission Boardbag. Sizes start at 5’10’’ and go all the way up to 7’6’’, so there should be a boardbag to fit your stick whatever you ride. There’s a 1/4 inch of foam on all sides to protect your board from impacts and a reinforced nose for some added strength up front where your board is weakest. It features a non corrosive zipper that won’t rust or break, and the 600D waterproof polyester covering keeps everything inside dry (there’s extra room for a towel, boardies, even a wetsuit).

The Day Mission is your everyday boardbag that’s great when you need to strap your board to a roof rack, put in in the back of a van, or just carry it to wherever you have to go. There’s only space for one board in the Day Mission, so if you’re heading overseas and want to take two or three boards then you’ll need the OAM Dual Mission Boardbag. This boardbag bumps up the foam protection to 3/8 of an inch thick, a handy counter against clumsy airport baggage handlers. It features a board stash divider to separate your sticks from one another, great to avoid a Chinese wax job. You’ll also get a full panel storage pocket for all those extras you need to take, like a leash, rash vest, and sun block, plus two dedicated fin pockets for a couple extra sets of fins.

Other boardbags to choose from include the OAM Fish Mission Boardbag, a wider boardbag that doesn’t get narrower at the nose, making it the perfect fit for fish surfboards. The Fish Mission includes a multi pocket organizer for packing things like wax, fin keys, and an emergency ding repair kit, plus it features a rubber air vent. All the OAM Boardbags have durable handles and straps to make them easy to carry, along with the signature OAM ’S’ zip that runs across the bag. This clever design makes it easy to fold back the cover and get your surfboards out in a hurry, plus cleaning them is a lot easier too.
