Landyachtz are always updating their models, tweaking and refining their skateboards thanks to feedback from their awesome team riders like Billy Bones and Troy Grenier. Whether you’re looking for a bamboo pintail longboard for cruising or a freeride skateboard you can ride switch, Landyachtz has you covered. They also make sick trucks, wheels, gloves and other accessories. With an all new range of decks and complete setups released this year, we pick out our top three complete setups.
The Peacemaker
One of the best all-round skateboards from Landyachtz has to be the Peacemaker. You could call it a hybrid, but really it’s a freeride skateboard at heart. It comes with a kicktail and flared wheel wells, and is a great board for hard and fast skating. It also has sick artwork by Wesley Eggebrecht on the bottom of the deck. Two size options are available, the 32” long by 9.5” wide with a 16.5” wheel base, and the 36.5” long by 9.75” wide with a 20.6” to 23.8” wheelbase. Check out the Peacemaker 32” and the Peacemaker 36.5” in the DriftingThru store.
The Switch
A great skateboard for learning to freeride, the Switch has been designed to work well with skaters of all skill levels. The name of this board gives it away, as the Switch deck is symmetrical so it is the perfect board for skaters who love to ride switch. It also has lowered foot platforms which are great it you are learning to slide. It also works just fine for simple cruising along the sidewalk, and has cool artwork by Andreas Preis. It comes in two sizes, a 40” length model that’s 9.65” wide and has a wheel base of 31.8”. The smaller 35” length model is 9.5” wide with a 26.8” wheelbase.
The Malahat
If you’re after a carving board that you can cruise the streets with as well as power through huge turns on the hill, the Malahat is for you. It’s a compact skateboard that has been expertly designed, from the fiberglass layered flexible 4-ply bamboo deck to the machined wheel wells. It features a pin tail and a rockered platform, then to top it all off there is awesome artwork down below by Rafal Wechterowicz. This skateboard comes in just one size, 38” long, 10” wide with a 27.5” wheelbase. Check out the Malahat at the DriftingThru store.
Bones Slide Gloves
To finish off, Landyachtz also produce some awesome gloves for sliding and fast downhill runs where you need to put your hands to the floor. The Bones Slide Gloves come with a sick skeleton bone design which is reflective. They are made out of suede, along with nylon and kevlar to really add some durability. The icing on the cake is the replaceable slide pucks on each palm, which are insanely durable. See what Billy Bones makes of these gloves in the video below, then head over to the DriftingThru store to pick up your pair.
