Fully Flared
We have the guys at Lakai to thanks for Fully Flared, a high budget skate flick featuring a whole bunch of their team riders killing it at their best kept secret street spots. Released in 2007, Fully Flared scored gold at the Transworld Skateboarding Awards, winning the ‘Best Video of the Year’ award. See skaters like Mike Carrol, Guy Mariano, Eric Koston and Mike Mo Capaldi bust out their repertoire of tricks while explosions go off. Not many other skate videos offering that.

Baker 3
The boys at Baker Skateboards released Baker 3 way back in 2005, but it still stands as an iconic skating video. It was one of the biggest videos out that year, with plenty of funny and weird stuff happening in between the skating. Skaters like Dustin Dollin, Jim Greco, Terry Kennedy and Andrew Reynolds all feature in this video, along with a whole lot more too.

Debacle
Nike SB are responsible for putting this impressive video together, filmed entirely in high definition in 2009. Most of the skaters are amateurs but the standard is off the hook, with sick skating from David Clark, Grant Taylor, Shane O’Neill, Justin Brock and more. This vid also has a banging soundtrack, with tracks from Black Mountain, Bad Brains, Skid Row and The Fall.
This is Skateboarding
Thanks to the crew at Emerica footwear we have the movie called This is Skateboarding, and it really couldn’t be any clearer than that. Filmed over the course of two years, all the team riders were followed and their skating documented at some of the most recognised skate meccas across the globe. Released in 2003, This is Skateboarding stills stays true to its name over a decade on.
2nd to None
Another video that is over 10 years old, 2nd to None is a truly epic skating video released under the Deca label, which lived for just 3 short years. Daewon Song was the brains behind the Deca label and this video, which includes skating from Chris Haslam and JB Gillet. One of those videos that just can’t be found on the DVD market anymore, but luckily has been uploaded for us to enjoy for many years more.

Street Dreams
The only video in our list that is a Hollywood movie as opposed to a genuine skating flick, but Street Dreams does blur the line and actually has some awesome skating to watch in between the storyline. A crew of skaters getting chased down by cops, cutting the skate proofing of rails, and hitting the road for competitions, and that’s only giving away half the plot!
Skate & Destroy
Possibly the oldest video in our list and one that set the benchmark for thousands of skateboarding video to follow. In 1996, Skate & Destroy from Thrasher was released, and it set the bar high. So many skaters featured in this video, like Rodney Mullen, Chad Muska, Tom Penny and the list really does go on. Awesome music and awesome skating, relive the VHS era and go back in time with this one to see how skating used to be.
The End
Birdhouse Skateboards released The End in 1998, and all the Birdhouse Skaters have their own section in the video, with some funny skits thrown in too. Bucky Lasek takes down Tony Hawk to become the number one skater, and Rick McCrank tries looking for a job outside of skating. Jamie Mosberg directed this movie, giving it a documentary feel making it a little different to your usual skate vid.

You’ll see Daniel Castillo, Mike Taylor, Kerry Getz, Jason Dill and other talented skaters in this epic video.
